Luis Alfonso Rodríguez López-Cepero (born April 15, 1978), known by the stage name Luis Fonsi, is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and actor. He is known for several songs, including "Despacito", with Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee.
Luis Fonsi received his first Latin Grammy Awards nominations in the Record of the Year category and won the song of the year with the song "Aquí Estoy Yo". The song also won three Billboard Latin Music Awards. "Despacito" became Fonsi's biggest hit by winning four Latin Grammy Awards, seven Billboard Latin Music Awards, five Billboard Music Awards and received three Grammy nominations. He also won a Latin American music award for "Échame la Culpa" with Demi Lovato.
In 2018, he broke six Guinness world records and sold over 11 million records with "Despacito". In February 2020, "Despacito" was the most viewed YouTube video of all time, with over 6.7 billion views.
